2017 Telephone Campaign

Our fundraising plans for 2017 are well underway and we are delighted to announce that the annual Brunel University London telephone campaign will be taking place between Monday 29th May and Saturday 24th June.

During this time our team of students will be calling Brunel alumni to update them on activities here at Brunel, find out about what they have been up to since graduation and ask if they are willing to make a donation to support the Brunel Scholarships Fund.

Alumni support allows us to provide scholarships, bursaries, awards, help for students in financial difficulty and enhance the experience for students during their time at Brunel.

We do hope you will be able to take some time to share some memories of your time at Brunel and help us plan for the future.  Students will be calling –

Monday to Friday – 6.30pm – 9.30pm

Saturday – 12pm – 6pm

Sunday – 1.45pm – 8pm

If you have any questions or would like any further details please contact alison.russell@brunel.ac.uk.

Not only do donations benefit future and current students’ previous callers have found talking to alumni equips them with many transferrable skills they can use after graduation.  Paige Boateng, a third year Biomedical Science student was part of last year’s calling team and thoroughly enjoyed her time as a campaign caller –

“It has been such an exciting experience for me to talk to alumni and hear about their time at Brunel whilst celebrating Brunel’s 50th Anniversary!

The campaign was perfect for me because it is on campus, has variety of shifts and is really fun!

I used this opportunity to gain industry advice from alumni who work across the UK in various careers. I could not personally think of anything better than gaining real life career advice from graduates who have been in our position before.

Surprisingly I was even able to network while working! I spent my time making industry links and finding out how they ended up in their current position. As a result, many alumni were more than happy to get involved and support Brunel’s Future50 Appeal because of the great conversations we had.”
