Cultural Brunel

Brunel University London provides a rich and diverse backdrop that goes far beyond the lecture theatre. With over 100 nationalities represented on campus we are proud to celebrate the rich tapestry and diversity of Brunel’s community and with your support we can continue to encourage our students to explore all aspects of their potential, not only through academic achievement but also through a vibrant programme of artistic, cultural and sporting encounters.

Brunel Music AwardsMusic Awards

Brunel’s Arts Centre provides talented musicians with support for their musical tuition through the Music Awards scheme, which is partially funded through donations from graduates and supporters.

The Music Awards recognise that the experience of University is greater than just what happens in the classroom. The University is committed to enriching the cultural life of its students and also, through regular concerts and performances, the life of the local community.

The Beldam Gallery:

Beldam Gallery

Brunel’s Beldam Gallery hosts a diverse programme of temporary exhibitions showing a wide range of contemporary art and craft including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, installation, film, video and sound art. This programme includes the work of regional, national and international artists, as well as a dedicated emerging artist showcase occurring annually.

The Gallery is named after the benefactor who enabled the building of the original gallery at Brunel, Dr Robert Beldam CBE. Dr Beldam was a supporter and benefactor of the University from its early days who, before his death in 2003, supported many initiatives including scholarships, bursaries as well as the gallery.
